RESOURCES

BIAC is located near Bair Island and the Port of Redwood City.  We have year-round protected marine waters.  You always have access to the deep Port channel and the lower San Francisco Bay.  Mid to high tides enable access into Bair Island.

Bair Island is part of the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge, the largest remaining restorable wetlands in lower San Francisco Bay. The wetlands is a haven for 126 species of birds, including blue herons, egrets, willits and terns; 63 types of fish; and 13 types of mammals, such as seals and sea lions.

NOTE: Landing on Bair Island is prohibited.  Please enjoy everything from the water!

Our Safety page provides guidelines and other important information that everyone should know.

For the newest members of our community, the Rowing Basics page introduces key concepts and describes what to wear on the water.
