Bair Island wetlands is home to a wide variety of birds year round due to our pristine and secluded habitat. Fall, however, brings exceptional opportunities for birdwatching, due to migration and high tides. Enjoy an early morning paddle looking for egrets, pelicans, herons, and visiting birds. There is something very magical about being on the water as a flock passes low over head and a seal observes you, watching the birds.

Participants should bring a warm beverage and binoculars, it would be wise to leave warm clothes in the card to change into post outing. Dress warmly but not bulky and preferably quick dry clothes, not cotton. You do not need to get wet. Everyone needs to sign the BIAC waiver.

Due to Covid-19, we ask that you bring your own personal floatation device (PFD) if you have one. We have some available, if needed.

Recommended for adults and children 14 and older who want to be still in nature to better observe it.
