Don't miss our annual BIAC fundraising social!

April 28, 2018 from 5 to 8pm

Looking for an excuse to hang out with your rowing buddies while not wearing Lycra? Well, look no further ... BIAC's annual social is back! This is an opportunity to celebrate the year's successes with squad members, meet new BIAC members, and fundraise for the BIAC rowing equipment fund. 

When: Saturday, April 28, 5-8pm
Where: Private residence in Hillsborough (address provided with tickets)
Cost: $60/person – Guests are welcome! (Ages 21+)

Need more convincing? Expect:

  • Taco Truck (Get a jump on Cinco de Mayo!)
  • Silent Auction (If you have auction items to donate, please email Rachel Kindt or Winny Wong.)
  • Name a Boat (Possibly a two-for-one by naming the barge!)
  • Entertainment (We promise no erging.)

A look at past years ... 

In 2016 this event brought in $9110. Hosted in Menlo Park with more than 100 attendees, this Winter Social & Fundraiser featured voting on boat names suggested prior to the event, fun awards and special a "thank you" to Mel Horn for his work as a long-time trailer driver/organizer extraordinaire and to Jim Wojcik for his years coaching the Competitive Team.
Boat names included: Mike Sullivan, The Dilip, Cool Rowings, Three's A Crowd, Swing City, Dauntless, and The Nobles. 

In 2017 this event brought in $6380. Hosted in Redwood City at the Sequoia Yacht Club, this Spring Social & Fundraiser marked the first time BIAC members voted on and announced the "Great Eight" awards. Check out the seats plaque located inside the boathouse entryway.
Boat names included: Can't Touch This, #changetheratio, The Mac
