Paddling Application

The Outrigger Canoe (Wa’a) Learn to Paddle program includes five sessions. In addition to these sessions of personalized instruction, the program includes equipment usage fee, and a one-month trial membership in BIAC.

To request a paddling membership in BIAC, please complete the information below and on succeeding pages. Our full membership year is from May 1 to Apr 30. During your first year, we prorate fees based on the month you join.

The annual adult membership fee does not include use of BIAC equipment. There is an additional $100 per year equipment fee. There is a separate charge for renting storage racks for members' personal watercraft ($100 annually for a kayak, canoe or paddleboard). If you are interested in a rack space, please contact our Yardmaster to inquire.

As a nonprofit volunteer organization, BIAC depends on the contributions of time and energy from its members to maintain boats and the club premises. All annual adult memberships require a volunteer commitment of 12 hours per year. Members who cannot make this commitment can opt out by paying an additional annual fee of $250. You must indicate your preference on the Membership Application. For more information on volunteering at BIAC, click here.

Junior paddlers pay a fee of $100 for both dues and BIAC equipment, and are exempt from the volunteer commitment. Full-time college students receive a 25% discount off the adult membership dues and fees. Full-time college students can select a summer membership, which is valid from May 1 through August 30, and includes the use of BIAC equipment.
