Classes and Memberships

BIAC offers annual and seasonal (summer) memberships for adult and student paddlers, sweep rowers, and scullers. BIAC also offers single-day guest drop-in use for $10. Guests must be accompanied by a BIAC member. All members and guests must sign the Liability Waiver, copies of which are kept in the Clubhouse entry area and online.

Memberships don't include monthly coaching fees for racing teams. Racks for personal watercraft are in high demand. Please contact the Yardmaster to inquire about availability.

Full time college students receive a 25% discount on membership fees shown. Please contact the Board of Directors about your student status.

The off-water membership is intended for college students who wish to use BIAC weights and ergs, but not BIAC watercraft.

Please note that, per BIAC's bylaws, membership fees are not refundable.

Volunteering

As a nonprofit volunteer organization, BIAC depends on contributions of time and energy from its members to maintain boats and club premises. All annual adult memberships require a volunteer commitment of 12 hours per year. Unfulfilled hours at the end of the year will be billed at $25 per hour unfulfilled. Members who cannot make this commitment can opt out by paying an additional annual fee of $250. Please indicate your preference on the Membership Application. For more information on volunteering at BIAC, click here.

New Member Orientation

All new members must participate in a site orientation, which may include an equipment certification process, prior to using the facility unsupervised. Contact your program manager to schedule a tour.

Guest Privileges

Current BIAC members may invite a guest to use BIAC facilities up to three times per year. All guests are required to sign a Liability Release prior to using BIAC facilities or services. Individual BIAC members bringing invited guests are responsible for payment of the $10 single-day use fee for each guest visit. Guests under 18 years of age must have their release signed by their legal parent or guardian.

BIAC Rules and Regulations

It is strongly advised that each member, new and current, review the BIAC Rules and Regulations. A hard copy is posted in the lobby of the BIAC facility. The Rules and Regulations provide additional detail beyond the information provided here.

All club members and club programs are to operate in compliance with these Rules and Regulations. Violations may result in disciplinary action by an authorized BIAC representative (a board member, program leader, team captain, or coach).

Every member should also be familiar with BIAC's Safety procedures to help ensure everyone's safety in our community and maintain our special facility. We all share the challenges of a dynamic marine environment, busy waterways, and a multi-use resource.

Voting

Only current, fully-paid Masters members (paddling or rowing) are eligible to vote in Board of Directors election.
