Director of Rowing - July, 2017

BIAC is looking for a part-time Director of Rowing for our masters rowing programs. Are you passionate about rowing and eager to help organize our masters rowing programs? You will help build and manage our sweep and sculling programs, oversee and set standards for coaches, and organize the details of our rowing program.

This is a paid, part-time position that includes access to club facilities. BIAC is located in the SF Bay Area, and enjoys year-round access to protected marine waters.

Background requirements:

- 5+ years rowing experience.

- 2+ years coaching and regatta experience

- 2+ years of program management, project management or similar professional responsibilities

Core responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations of rowing programs

- Develop and implement appropriate athlete standards and expectations among program levels

- Coordinate regatta and event participation

- Coordinate and manage program equipment - maintenance and acquisition planning

- Facilitate coach hiring and staffing, help develop our coach talent and our coach pipeline

- Maintain a positive and welcoming club atmosphere
